%X This paper presents a transdisciplinary process-oriented modeling framework, named ENGESIS, based on concepts and techniques originated from different autonomous areas dealing with complex discrete event processes, namely: model based systems engineering, project management, business process management and simulation modelling. ENGESIS is a reference framework that can be used to support the systems engineering lifecycle processes in space missions. It comprises three elements: knowledge structure made by the transdisciplinary hierarchical models created making use of the reference model; implementation method used for evolving the models along the system´s development lifecycle; and the supporting environment used to support the implementation of the specialised models as integrated and interoperable autonomous applications.
